Espen co-founded HAVN Capital and sits on the Investment Committee. He leads origination across Norway and has two decades of experience investing in and building energy companies.
Before HAVN, Espen spent 17 years at EV Private Equity, where he led multiple investments through to successful exit. He started his career at ExxonMobil in financial planning and operations, giving him an operator’s perspective he brings to every deal.
At HAVN, Espen is particularly focused on developing the team. He sees mentoring the next generation of investment professionals as central to the firm’s long-term edge.
Espen holds an MSc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), with an exchange at the University of Melbourne, and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA).
When not working, he follows football closely and travels with his family.
